How To Use CBD

These days, CBD is available in a huge variety of products, and you have quite a few options on how you prefer to take it. Some are looking for convenience and how to incorporate it into a daily routine, and some are seeking whichever way to maximize its potential benefits.

How you use CBD varies from person to person and can depend greatly on what you’re using CBD for.

What kind of results are you seeking? How quickly do you need the results to take effect? How long do you want the results to last? Your answer to these questions can help you decide which method is best for you.

A variety of methods and products are easily available to you including CBD oils, pills and capsules, tinctures, creams, and vape juice for vaping. Which one is right for you?

  • Sublingually. Using the dropper provided with your CBD tincture, place the desired dose under the tongue. Let it sit there for 45-60 seconds until it’s dissolved and then swallow.
  • Topically. You can apply the CBD oil directly onto your skin. The skin is our largest organ and has many cannabinoid receptors. CBD lotions and creams are used to treat many types of skin problems. Using a cream or lotion to rub onto your skin may aid with joint and muscle pains.
  • Vaporizer. A vaporizer (vape) is designed to vaporize the oil. CBD absorbed through the lungs has the highest bioavailability of the other methods and has the fastest onset of the effects of CBD. However, it does also have the shortest duration of the effects.
  • Capsules. Capsules work well for those that dislike the taste of CBD. When CBD is taken in a capsule, CBD goes through the gastrointestinal tract and can last up to 10 hours. However, when taking CBD in a capsule, it can take 1-2 hours for the effect to be felt.

With so many products available now, you have the chance to find the right method for you and your lifestyle. Try a couple of different ways. You may find more than one that you like!
